Here is a fancy dial circa 1898-99 0 size Elgin grade 205 from the first run. There were 4000 of
this open face 0 size 19j grade made. I know it's missing a screw(and I have one on order)
but other than that it's running like a top. As I always have a method to my madness this watch
hit's a few of my "wants". First it's a 19j like I collect. Next it has a jeweled motor barrel
another feature I like very much visually. I also have the grade 201 which is the hunting case
version of this watch. And last the price was very reasonable, in fact I emailed the seller a few days before
the end of the auction because I wanted this watch and offered them a decent amount
for it. They did turn me down and sadly for them I won the watch for 20% less than
what I offered them.

Rob, Grades 201 and 205 were among the best movements Elgin ever made.
I would also say they are among the nicest Elgin's ever made. But then again I am
biased toward what I like.

I received the $6.00 (shipping included) donor movement yesterday. It had been previously striped of many of the
most important parts except for the one missing extra tiny little screw I needed(plus some other back up tiny tiny screws for me.).

with screw installed.

I am a sucker for these 19j movements they are just so nice looking. Circa 1898 grade 201 just waiting for a hand from
Georgia(the country).
