We talked about this before. But I would like to start a thread on eagle marks. I know a lot of people think that Waltham made their own cases with the eagle Mark. But I am really not so sure. And I think if we shared these eagle marks we could learn a lot. here is an eagle Mark I recently found on a Dennison and Howard and Davis watch. Also here is a book that does a terrific job in listing over 50 different eagle marks and who they are ascribed to. The eagles are facing left and facing right and with various wing positions and on various branches and leaves. And each one seems to be a specific mark for a specific maker.

Jeff, this one owned by Omexa (Ray) with his permission to post. English maker and most
exports were to the US. This 14J has typ. gold dial but lacks hands, until Ray digs up some
spares from his closet.;)

If that is the book I think it is Jeff, it is a great read on early American silver marks.

Here's a Rockford in a case with eagle logo and C.E.C. mark. The case is not original to the watch since it has holds for winding and setting though the watch sets with the winding arbor on the hands. Is this an English case maybe?
