This watch is slipping a little on the time setting and someone mentioned that the small things sticking out might be a lever and this might be a "combo" set and maybe I could pop the bezel off and put the lever on the outside. Well it turns out these are small screws sticking through the bezel. Is this a common thing? How would a watch person describe it?
You can see the screws sticking out around the 4 o'clock and 11 o'clock positions.
The two picks showing the screws have the bezel removed.

The screws hold in position the push spring & the lift spring.

Does it do any kind of adjustment to the watch timing or anything related to setting the time slipping? Sounds like something I should just keep my untrained hands off of?

    Hi Kerry,

These are only part of the case and nothing to do with the movement at all, so best not to touch these, or, as you so wisely comment, anything else whose purpose isn't clear to you!

    Regards,

    Graham

Kerry, there's many little parts that make up the keyless works that wind and set a watch. None are accessable without dissasembly. There could be various things causing the skipping.

Sounds like it needs a good servicing, or if it has been recently, take er back.

    Have a good day!

I would also ask when was this watch last serviced. As said above,
if it hasn't been serviced recently or you don't know the
service history than that would be a priority.

Thanks everyone. It's unknown when this was last serviced and we'll get that done by a pro.
