Nice clock, just a quick note, no such thing as a hanging grandfather clock, a grandfather clock is a tall case floor clock. If you pull the movement and provide pictures of the back of it we can help you better.

Welcome to the board, Charly(?).

Your clock is a spring driven wall clock, in a "Vienna style".

Dufa was a trademark of Etzold & Popitz, Leipzig (later Uhrenfabrik Popitz).
It still is not quite clear today, if they ever made their own movements, or had them
supplied. They did use some higher grade movements in their clocks.
The winding key you have is DUFA, but may not belong to the clock.
You will have to pull out the movement and provide some more pictures of it, then we
can give you more adaquate information.

I will be taking it to The clock shop here in kansas city, it is owned by a friend of mine and I will have Dave faulke get pics of the movement for me when he does the cleaning and tooning on it....
