American Double escape wheel

My customer brought me a clock that has a cherub on a swing, as the pendulum. It swings back and forth, not side to side. It requires a double escape wheel and a double verge, which she has lost (long story). It is a valuable clock with sentimental value. I located a donor clock, but the verge and escape wheel are damaged. Any one know someone who can manufacture these parts?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Kinpol,

This is exactly the same principle as the Debaufre or 'chaffcutter' escapement found in a few 19th century pocket watches. I don't know if the inventor patented it.

Regards,

Graham
