Does this look like the correct/original movement for ST1 circa 1875?

Thanks! I thought it looked like sort of a Jerry-rigged setup. So with the original setup, the suspension spring is soldered/brazed to the top of the pendulum hanger, and the crutch is soldered to the right side about halfway down? I’m having trouble making that last part work in my head, but in the pic, the crutch rod disappears behind the hanger and doesn’t come out. I assume the pin just below the hour cannon is to hold the pendulum still when you lay it flat for transport or something? Interesting setup.

I believe the pin you are referring to is the lower end of the crutch rod and it gives the pendulum its impulse.
I finally figured that out after looking at a few more pics on different clocks. Funny, they went to all that trouble to design a precision movement, and the pendulum leader/crutch rod setup looks like an afterthought.
