Trying to remove movement from this Tissot as I need to adjust hands and can't seem to figure it out

Does the bezel come off and movement come out the front?

    thanks

Did you take the crown off?
Can you show photos of the back of the watch?

What do you believe is wrong with the hands? Is something hitting?

The "O" ring that sat in that groove around the case under the back. Is the back a snap on back or a screw back?

The back is a snap back

And yes I removed what I call the gasket

the movement seems locked in by something so I’m wondering if bezel comes off and it is removed from the front....

Put the seal/gasket in and the back on and try an empty syringe that fits over the pipe. Use air pressure created by sitting the extended syringe on the bench so when ready you can push down on it with the pipe fitted into the syringe end. Push down firmly and quickly. The crystal should pop out into your hand.

I have been reluctant to get involved because I have not done Tissots. BUT:

The movement is round and held in by case clamps. The dial is rectangular an is larger than the movement. It is also larger than the bezel. Odds are it comes out from the front.

Without it in hand and motivation to call some colleagues, I look very closely on the side opposite the crown. Many bezels can be removed by putting the crown into a hole in the bench block and tapping a single edge razor blade into the joint at 9 o'clock.

I am not saying what you "should" do other than to find someone who has had this case. But the 70s was an era of seemingly mean spirited efforts to make the life of a watchmaker hard.

There is only one way to fix that.
