Just acquired this David Dutton clock. But had a small question about how the movement is supposed to be held in place. As of right now there is 4 small loosely fitted nails at all 4 corners going through the support walls into the movement right where the 4 large holes in the movement are. Is this correct?

Yup that is correct. They often have only 3 pins (none at upper left one due to levers - depends where they're located). I suspect the top on this clock had been replaced.
Thank you

This clock was totally demolished during shipping. I had to rebuild basically everything but the movement.
