Damn auto correct! I do have several clocks that are ogre driven. This iHello,
In his Gilbert Clocks book, Tran Duy Ly only has one page of a variety of spring-driven ogees, no weight-driven ones. Your post does not specifically state spring or weight. Yours is "ogre" driven, eh? My collection has an eight day, weight-driven with a different label, different dial opening, and different door knob than yours. Many manufacturers built ogees over a long period of time and they typically have no model names. Some knowledgeable people can date these clocks based on the printer of the label. I am not one of those people.

My weight driven Gilbert Ogee Is circa 1860-65 and is marked Winchester Conn. In 1865 they had a black or brown label marked Winsted or Winchester respectfuly. In the 1870's they went Winsted label marking weather a black or brown label or not.. I hope that helps.. Chris. Can any one give me a guess at a date range for the attached. It is 30 hour, ogre driven time and strike. Don’t have my tools with me so can’t get to a picture of the movement, other than what you might see through the window in the center of the dial.

Thanks all. I did not see any other printer information on the label. It was Winsted Conn., so we’ll go with the 1870’s or soMy weight driven Gilbert Ogee Is circa 1860-65 and is marked Winchester Conn.
