Hello friends,

A neighbor of mine showed me her clock which she said her grandfather bought in Guangzhou China many years ago before WWII.

I am attaching 3 pictures the clock. From the arrows, I know that is a HAC clock. It probably dates before 1930 but would like more information about it eg model and a more accurate estimate of its age if possile.

Thank you very much.

HAC clocks are notoriously difficult to date, as they left few clues.

The crossed arrows trademark was registered in 1892, so we know it is not older than that year.

Junghans commenced a collaboration with HAC in 1926 and purchased the company in 1930. Your clock does not look like a post -collaboration movement.

Based on the style of the case and dial, I estimate your clock to have been made circa 1910 to 1925.

There are some HAC catalogs available, and should someone have a catalog, perhaps they can identify your clock and provide a circa date (+/- 5 years).

Regards.
