Haven't you posted the same question in another thread quite recently?

John and his brother Thomas, Perigal were working together from 1772-1784, maybe that is why there is no 1st name on the dial?

The single sheet engraved silvered dial was the last form of brass dial and mirrored the design of contemporary painted dial longcases, they date from towards the end of the 18th C and afaik did not have applied spandrels. The corner ones on this dial are ill fitting and of a much earlier design and along with arch ones are imo a later addition.

Loomes has John and Thomas Perigal and Perigal Brothers listed at Coventry Street. Details are; John 1770, CC 1781-1800. Partner with Masquerier 1772-1782 then with Browne to 1799. Thomas 1784, Brothers 1772.

There are quite a few makers called Perigal listed in London, they appear to be French Huguenot refugees and their descendants.

It looks like maybe the same clock was posted here on the 14th with a question about a pendulum (along with asking for info on the maker) following a house call?

What does "afaik" mean?
