I'm attempting to restore a German wooden cuckoo clock which belonged to my Grandparents, I imagine it is circa 1950s. The insides all work fine, apart from where the top of the pendulum (silver metal) is meant to touch the top right cog, thus moving the pendulum. As you can see from the photos, the part that is meant to be moved by the cog is further towards the back of the clock so doesn't rest against the cog. I've taken everything apart twice and nothing has helped.
I wondered if the cog may need to be slid down its middle pole slightly so it touches the top of the pendulum.
Thank you very much in advance for any advice.
