This one runs and keeps time. All I could find is that the movement is a rebranded Cyma and that Crest is I dunno basically a rebranded Cyma? That is all I can find on it. Can anyone educate me on it? Is it worth bothering with? Any info is greatly appreciated. 20220513_211452.jpg 20220513_211747.jpg 20220513_211931.jpg

I would never toss it. It is a shame that I got this watch in a lot of 10 watches for $18.

It looks like a nicely made movement to me, raised jewel settings and damasceening as it is. Somehow the band looks like a newer style than the watch would indicate to me, but I can't reconcile it with the lugs. Or perhaps what look like lug "hoods" are actually part of the band? Overall I'd say it's a rather good looking rectangular watch. Cheers.

The picture of the movement is slightly out of focus, but it looks to me like the word CREST has the C backward.

I bet there is an interesting story about how the name got on this nice watch but I suspect we will never hear it

I think one of the watchmakers at the factory pieced this together and branded it Crest. The case is 10k rgp...The hood lugs may have been added to an already existing cyma case that fit the cyma 364 movement. The band is a mix. Chain link part appears to be solid 12k and the stretch part looks like 10k rgp. The stainless case back has something that was stamped out heavily.

Sorry for the blurry pics...On close inspection the C is correct and not backwards.
