Hi! Unfortunately only the top half of the spring is there. The same size as the broken one. Is usual.
Hi! Unfortunately only the top half of the spring is there so not quite sure what to measure as the lower half will be a guess. By the look of the pendulum hanger the suspension spring will have a bar on it. Thanks for your help.Yes, measure the broken one and order one similar in spring thickness (not width), hole to pin distance, and width/height of the blocks.
Hi! Unfortunately only the top half of the spring is there so hard to measure anything. I didn't know about the thickness being important. ThanksYes, measure the broken one and order one similar in spring thickness (not width), hole to pin distance, and width/height of the blocks.
Hi! Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately only the top half of the spring is there. Is the parts book on line or hard copy please? If you get the Timesavers parts book, they show the springs in actual size, so you can lay the old one on the page to find a close match.
Hi! Thank you for this. The link looks helpful. The clock is not with me at the moment but I will be visiting the owner of it next weekend so will remove the broken spring and measure it properly. That should take some of the guesswork out of getting a replacement. Thanks everybody for your helpful advice. CheersYou can roughly approximate the length by looking at the leader and pendulum rod for the signs of where they sat together.
Anyway, this may help. Buy suspensions Springs Online at Clock Movement Importers - CMI Hermle
Good thought. Will do. ThanksLook in the bottom of clock case. Bottom half is most likely there.
Thanks Willie!A Merritts P-21.3, P-21.4, or P-21.5 will most likely do it. Just order all 3 and some other stuff to avoid the small order fee. Willie X
