Hi Guys & Gales, I just got in a comitti grasshopper clock for repair. I have worked on a lot of different clocks but never one of these. It appears the escapement is not working correctly. The movement has plenty of power but the escapement will not advance. The paw on the right hand side does not seem to be working correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 0814181802b.jpg 0814181802c.jpg 0814181802a.jpg

Those are fussy things to work with, but very interesting when you get them going. Probably an import by Pro Clocks from China. They should have springs that interface with the pallets, and they have to have a specific tension on them. That's where the fiddling comes in. If the other side is working you can use it as an example of where to set the spring tension.

This one is made in England so I would hope it is better quality.
