The clock was purchased in 1974. The owner (my mother in law) died in 2016 and the clock was shipped to my daughter. The moving company lost the chime tubes. I am having a heck of a time finding replacement tubes. I believe there were 5. Can anyone recommend a source for them?

You need to know how many you need. These clocks came in
    5, 7 and 9 tubes.
Of course, you could get the 9 tube and take out the unused ones
but you'd need to know which ones to leave out.
Also the diameter of the tubes may be different for different model clocks.

AFAIK there are no sets of 5 available. R & M, that Harold mentioned, would be your best bet, but get ready to pay more than $100 per tube. On line auctions have them from time to time. They are not generic, what Tinker said.

    Hello,

A set of 5 tubes: 4 Westminster chime & hour strike is $ 595 from R&M Import or if you need individual tubes they are $ 129 each.

Thanks Harold. I downloaded the catalogue. I'll try and figure out the correct ones.

Thanks Andy. Apparently the serial number is not needed? I have the catalogue and will search for the tubes.

You may be able to figure out how many tubes the clock needs simply by removing the hood and counting the hammers. I have seen them arranged in a single row of 5, 7 or 9 and sometimes 4, 6 and 8 with the strike hammer being off to one side. Never the less the number of hammers will tell you how many tubes the clock needs.

Westminster chime may use 5 tubes

Can you remove the back of the clock and count the number of hammers or hooks from which the tubes are suspended?
What chimes are listed on the clock's face. Whittington requires 8 notes - unless a 6-note Whittington.
Westminster requires four notes and there may be a single hourstrike note longer than the four.
