Is there conscientious on The dating of late clocks by Colonial Manufacturing, the ones with metal tag when a new system was introduced in the early 70's and used until they closed down in '85. I've heard the first two digits indicate the year.. others say this is not so ?

I believe you are correct on the first two digits being the year of manufacture. I used to know what the others numbers meant, but I'm old and have forgotten. Here is the tag on the door of my Colonial. I used to know the model, but as I mentioned previously, I'm old. IMG_8163.jpg IMG_8168.jpg
