• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

DSCN3827.jpg DSCN3849.jpg DSCN3850.jpg DSCN3839.jpg I just brought this one home today. I believe the case is #1166, and I think the movement is Winterhalder but would really like confirmation or know who it is, and a close manufacture date.
Thanks, Mark

If that's a "Kaiser-Gong", I believe that brand is Junghans.

Hello,

Your clock is a Model 1166 and listed in Colonial Manufacturing Co. 1914/1915 catalog: case 77 in height, 20 inch wide, 12 inch deep, made of imitation Mahogany quarter sawn oak with French beveled glass.

Since the clock has a German movement; it was probably made 1914-1915 as WWI broke out in 1914 and Colonial would problems obtaining German movements shortly after the war started.

68 over SCHW is probably 68 Schwingungen, or 68 beats per minute, which would be appropriate for your clock. BTW, here is a link to an earlier thread on what seems to be another example of your clock.
