Hello!

I saw this clock at a local antique shop about 6 years ago. It was priced at $250.00. Considering It is a reproduction, I thought about it for a while. I went back to the antique shop to purchase the clock and some one had stolen the movement from the clock. The owner of the clock put it back in storage. Just today I talked to the owner of the clock and suggested that I was still interested in the clock even though it was missing its movement. He sold it to me for $50.00.
I have several of the miniature novelty grandfather clocks, which the shield/dial on those would look appropriate on a peddler clock. I cut out a piece of galvanized steel and painted it gold, to make the mounting for the clock housing to slide on. I matched all of the mounting holes/screw holes while making the back plate. I then was able to take the case from one of the miniature grandfather clocks and slide it onto the peddler clock. I think it looks pretty good.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

Neal
