    Help to find original pendulum

Hello, this is my first visit great site, I have a clock which I believe from the markings is an ex GPO clock. The information I have came from the marks on the inside of the case, I am looking to replace the missing pendulum preferably with an original so if you can help I would be grateful. 176235.jpg 176236.jpg 176237.jpg 176238.jpg 176239.jpg 176240.jpg 176241.jpg 176242.jpg

    Finials Needed For My Herschede

ETA: whoops-a-daisey! I meant to reply to the "clocks parts wanted" & I started a new thread. Please feel free to move this post, Moderator..... sorry!

If anyone happens to have 4 finials, like the ones pictured on the clock below, I sure could use 'em :D

It's a long shot, I know....... but I finally found a picture of my clock's twin w/ the right finials intact. My clock was acquired sans finials & I thought that I would give this a try.

Thank you for looking :thumb: Sorry that the pictures are a little fuzzy. I........ 'er..... liberated them and had to enlarge her some.

    Clock part wanted

I am trying to find a complete door lock and key for a Grand Father clock. The clock is
62 years old and the lock is missing. The clock was shipped from:
    COLONIAL MANUFACTURING COMPANY
    CLOCKS AND FINE FURNITURE
    office and factory
    ZEELAND MICHIGAN
    on March 19th-- Sale # N-915 --- CMC order # N-747

The clock is number 1-#1640 -- Colony Mahog. Clock, #44 mov't.

Hope I didn't bore you with all these old numbers but that is the only way I thought I could find it as I have tried every parts house and clock shop owner friends and have not had any luck.
Thank anyone very much .............Bill at BarnardsClockShop....

    Re: Clock part wanted

I've got a Colonial clock of about that age. When I first got it, I was missing the key
and the lock on the bottom door would not work.
I looked every where and could not find a similar lock. I was able to find a
key to work at a local key shop. It has no special key way. It is just a key
with a hole and the tab on the side.
    Good luck on your search.

    Need mainspring

Help! I need a new or new-old stock loop end mainspring for a Sessions two train Westminster chime movement. The spring that I need measures 3/4" wide, by .020" thick, by 96" long. The clock supply houses no longer offer this spring. I'm hoping that someone has one in their stock of spare parts. Please specify condition and price. Many thanks.

I'm pretty sure you would get away with the .018 inch thickness that is still readily available in that length and width.

    Black Forest Brass Bezel

I am restoring a Black Forest Postman's style clock (see link to another thread below) and I am desperate to locate a 9 1/4" bezel to fit it. Obviously this is a strange size as none of the normal suppliers stock them. Cousins in the UK list them, but have no stock. Does anyone have one they would part with or know where I might be able to source one?

Vienna case pediment decorations required UK

Does anyone know where I can get case decorations made or from stock?
Before you flood me with all the sites on the t'internet that stock resin reproductions of such parts, please let me specify some dimensions and further information. I am attempting to reproduce a particular pediment (see image below) the width of the part is 19 inches. Unfortunately this means that many of the commercially available parts are too small. So before I get out the woodcarving tools and teach myself how to do the job, I thought I would ask if anyone knows anyone who does this type of work.

    179878.jpg 179549.jpg 179578.jpg

The clock... Gustav Becker model 1819 (Thanks John).

I hope that this is not too vague, this is a pricing up exercise at the moment as the clock belongs to a client, who will probably vote for the "something similar" option because of costs, but I would like to be able to offer a price on an exact reproduction if possible.

Back door for Seth Thomas Peer

I am looking for a round, hinged back door for a Seth Thomas Peer. It likely fit on other models as well. The door is brass and is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and approximately 3 1/2 inches between the mounting holes. At this point, I am also considering other options like French doors. They look very similar and function the same.

    McClintock parts wanted

    Looking for parts for a O.B. McClintock master clock;
movement is a Seth Thomas 85e the hour strike switch
is not complete, it is missing the contact assembly that is
closed by the strike wheel. If anyone has a good pic of the
switch I may be able to make parts. The chime barrel is a
Seth Thomas 40 pin commutator, the 5 contact chime switch
is missing. Dial is 14"x 14" tin plate with a 6" hole in center
and 11 1/4"chapter ring that is made of paper, it does not
appear original. If anyone can help locate parts or have a
suggestion where to look all help will be appreciated.

    Hello all.

    I need a Gilbert 30 hour movement.

It can be in rough shape but as long as parts are there. I can do bushing and buy mainsprings and replace trundles if necessary. I can repair broken/missing gear teeth but not cut whole gear. Well, I am not set up to cut a whole gear yet..!!!

I got this old Gilbert clock recently with no movement and it begs to be repaired.

Thanks in advance (crossing my fingers).

    PM me if you like.

    Parts for Junghans 160 Movement

Can someone suggest a source for Junghans parts. I desperately need a gear. A used gear would be just fine. This is a gear that is mounted outside the front plate and meshes with the gear that controls the hour hand. The gear that I am referring to has a broken tooth, and that allows the hour hand to free fall when the two gears try to mesh. All replies appreciated. Thanks. . Kedith

Earlier today, I posted a thread requesting parts information on a Junghans movement. The (idler) gear that drives the hour hand gear has a tooth missing. As the gears mesh and it reaches the point where the tooth is missing, the hour hand will free fall. Celtic suggested photos would help. This is a first for me; so, here goes. Re: Black Forest Brass Bezel

I have been looking for Chelsea hands for a small 3" desk clock I have. Nowhere to be found. Can I get a little help from my NAWCC friends? Suggestions, directions?

    Re: E. Ingraham Parts Wanted

Reuven, A good place to try would be Merritts Clock Supplies. They sell the replacement suspension rods and springs (one unit for which you measure and cut the rod yourself). They have an excellent catalog on line, or they can send you a hard copy. For the other parts you will probably need to get a "donor" movement. I usually haunt e-Bay for these and eventually pick one up, but Merritts also has lots of parts clocks, so they may be able to sell you a parts clock for not too much...or they may actually be able to find the parts in their clock shop. You can call them at (610) 689-9541 extension 262 (the Clock shop) from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday (Eastern US time). The internet is www.merritts.com. Hope this helps you!
