I have a very old Seth Thomas Clock that runs for only 20 minutes after it has been lubricated and cleaned. Not sure what to do next.

Is it in or out of the case? Photos will always get help. Have you ensured that the clock is properly in beat?

    Welcome to the board.

To be able to help you we need to see what sort of clock you are dealing with. Please post clear pictures of the clock and the movement.

Also please read the article on BEAT SETTING 101 (go to the top of the Clock Repair section, click on 'How to do it articles' and Beat setting is the second item). Your clock may just be out of beat.

Please tell us how you cleaned the clock. Was it completely disassembled for cleaning? If your old clock was properly cleaned, oiled, and is in beat, and still refuses to keep running it may have excessive wear to the pivots and/or pivot holes. Pictures would be a big help.
