THE NATIONAL WATCH AND CLOCK MUSEUM CALLS FOR ARTISTS TO MAKE TIME!

COLUMBIA, PA: A new exhibit scheduled by the National Watch and Clock Museum invites artists to create their own artistic interpretations of an object within the Museum’s collection, using any medium with which they choose. Participating artists are encouraged to be as creative as they would like in submitting artistically inspired creations to appear as part of the Art of Time exhibit on display at the Museum from April 2017 through December 2017.

The call is open to artists and students working in all media to submit up to two (2) works no later than February 28, 2017. Artists are welcome to visit the Museum and study objects in person or view the entire Museum collection at http://nawcc.pastperfectonline.com/ before submitting their work. The artist information form and submission guidelines can be found at http://nawcc.org/images/stories/museum_exhibits/Call_for_Artists.pdf. Interested artists are invited to email Museum Curator Kim Jovinelli at kjovinelli@nawcc.org to schedule an appointment if they would like to discuss ideas.

Accepted artists will be notified by phone or email. All work must be ready for installation, and artists are responsible for assisting with the installation of any works, which require special attention or extensive demands of time. The time of delivery and the installation of artwork will be arranged with each participating artist after notification of acceptance. Artists or artists’ galleries are responsible for the shipping and the delivery of works, including transfer insurance if needed, as well as the retrieval of work at the end of the exhibit. Artists are respectfully asked not to submit works that have been sold.
