clock identification

    Greg..Posting your pictures as requested.

    Looks like a Cuckoo/Quail 30 hours clock to me.

    Black Forest, Germany 1890's to 1910. I will have to look in my books to check further.

    Quail will sound every 15 minutes and Cuckoo sounds the hour...I very nice clock but it needs a little work..

    I will study photos a little more and let you know.

    Just guessing about the dates and 30 hour run. Hope someone else is familiar with this and can add more information..

    Greg..This is a real "gem" to Cuckoo collectors and is "really, really" worth fixing without mentioning actual values. Maybe a trade might be in order if you can not find someone to restore for you...I have "boxes" of pocket watch stuff I seldom use. Let me know how you make out...
