• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

Clock fair.

Had a good day at the clock fair today , met Torsion Dell and his wife , would of been nice to go for a cup of tea with them though.

Managed to sell 15 torsion clocks and two mantel clocks then spent nearly all the money I made on buying two more clocks .
The Harder ser no 4609 has the original bridge wheel hole and the repositioning hasn't improved it that much.
Propped up the front and it's been working for 30 minutes ok without the ss catching.

The second one ser no 9788 has a base I'm not familiar with and has four feet.
It will clean up nice. John

The shield clock appears to be a Würth clock...the pendulum is #20 in the repair guide (the attribution has been changed). Probably dates to 1907/1908. The other one's plate doesn't appear in the repair guide...probably Mr. Terwilliger never saw one.

Thanks kurt, yes I sold a Wurth today and bought another!
I'm still looking for a base for another one without success so may go down the wood base route.
Couldn't say no to the Harder.

Nice finds! I've recorded 5 Harders with round movements now including yours. The retainer for the click wheel moves to 3 different positions but they are all within 1000 numbers of each other.

The other is definitely a Wurth as Kurt said.

Yes Eric, on my other round plate no 5374 the screw hole is at the 11 o'clock position and that works well and this one's original position was at 3 o'clock repositioned to 6 o'clock and the bridge catches on the ss.
Incidentally I've put two coins under the front base to give more room and it's still running as from 1630 giving 200 degrees , suppose that's not bad as it's years since it last ran.
Will stop it now until its been cleaned. John
