• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

as discussed with the star duplex esc. here is the chinese duplex, obviously also made for the english speaking world:silver (content?) open face case with sprung back lid, engine turned but quiet rubbed, signed "fine silver";single sunk cream enamel dial with seconds beating center seconds hand;3/4plate mvmt. with a monometallic poised uncut balance, blue steel hairspring;going barrel with maltese stop work ,10 or 11 jewels(?).6 split teeth chinese duplex escape wheel, one tooth needs two full swings of the balance (back and forth) requiring one full second to pass, the center hand "beating" full seconds. It's running and keeping time in the range of +-20seconds per day.Any idea of the maker?TIA for any remarks.
Burkhard

First crab claw duplex that I have seen in a conventional plate layout Burkhard. Don't know about the maker but I believe that most of these were made in the Fleurier area around Neuchatal. I did used to own a Chinese market cylinder escapement watch marked for a maker in Besancon in France but that is in the same region.
