Hi
As a beginner and diy i ended buying cheap stuff to work on watches. My piece of advice though don't buy cheap watch holders from even website with good reputation for watch stuff. The holders i bought from cousins and Walsh were really poorly made. The holders have four sides each side of the holders have a different dimension. Not one but on 4 holders.
One came defective and was replaced.
However not advertising but pleasantly surprised from cheap holders from AliExpress. Sturdy and all four sides symmetrical. Disadvantage took a year to come but eventually came.

Good afternoon, Fuzz!

My father always used to say, "Never buy cheap tools. You will pay for a good tool every time you use them." I didn't follow his advice, but now see that he was right. To be sure, you don't always get what you pay for, but you almost never get more than you pay for.
