Case Question - Maker - Star Mark

I am currently working on an estate of watches for a family. I came across what looks like it would be a Swiss "Fake". It is unmarked on the dial or movement except a serial on the movement. Full plate 18s hunter in the style of a 18s Waltham. The case is gold colored and the only mark in the outer back cover inside and the front cover inside are this star and a case serial. The inner cover has what appears to be a old English F? Has anyone seen this mark before?

I have a BWCCo. case with a similar mark.

The BWCCo mark is for Brooklyn Watch Case Company. I am not familliar with the rest of the marks but the case looks to be gold filled.

That is exactly why I showed the BWCCo. mark with the OP's description of an old English F. I have several BWCCo. cases with the accompanying symbol.

The case has toned as one sees with low k gold. I will need to take it for testing. The watch appears to be Swiss but not marked. So it could either be 8k or filled. I agree the case is made by BWCCo based on what has been posted. Having it tested may help if someone comes across this mark again.

BWCCo made some cases that were low carat...8k sandwiched between two layers of higher carat. These are very difficult to test.

I think this describes my cases, with Kevin's description of an "old English F".
