Recently obtained a 20 Jewel, 16 size Jules Monard movement, S/N 23226, private labeled for Giles Bro. & Co., Chicago, Ill.. It's in a high quality gold filled case that appears original to the movement as there are no extra screw marks. The case has only a serial number in three places and a trademark that I cannot identify, and is not shown in Ehrhardt's Trademarks book.
Do any of you know what the trademark represents and who made the case? Since this is a Swiss movement sold as an American private label , I guessed and put this thread in the "American" section. If this proves to be incorrect will one of the Moderators please move it to the "European" section.

I believe(I hope) your watch(the case in particular) will have better chances
of being identified here in the European section.

I found the Isaac Swope mark in Ehrhardt . It is not exact but it is close enough that today it would be infringement.

I think this is more likely to be an American case than European. These are the only trade marks I could find for Isaac Swope ...

The upper is so far from "not exact" - that possibly Dr Jon is referring to another one that i didn't find.
