Does anyone know of a source for the small wire gongs that are found in a striking carriage clock? I've looked thru all the catalogues of the main supply houses, but everything shown is too large.

Thanks in advance for any info.

You will probably have to adapt an existing gong coil or make one from scratch. This old book has some tips on coil gong making:

An alternative would be to buy up some clocks for scrap - basic time and alarm carriage clocks these days are selling for almost nothing-but the gongs are made to fit in particular orientations and if you don’t measure they could block the winding, or adapt them as above.
