I have this cuckoo. Sold it but had some strike problems I've fixed. Letting it run a couple weeks to make sure. I didn't have it long before I sold and didn't do any research. So just curious for info for new owners. Can you tell who made it. Very cool. 1/4 hour quail . Any idea of year would be great also.

It's the American Cuckoo Clock Co. of Philadelphia.

Tons about this company in the Bulletin. For example, see this:

RAOct04:RAOct04.qxd.qxd (nawcc.org)

Scroll down to page 683.

Included is a picture of what the label on your clock once looked like.

So here's an update. I sold this as is hadn't serviced it they wanted it bad. The repairs I would have needed to do they would rather give it back and take a nice Gustav becker wall clock. So it's now mine and totally went thru it. Two bushings and lots of adjustments and it's done. And I'm glad to have it back. The escape wheel needed bushing. Strange thing was the way it wore. From the front you couldn't tell the hole was deformed at all. What it did was wear the back half of the plate and pop sideways. Then the wheel below it also needed done.
