I'm trying to identify this old Seth Thomas "black" mantle clock for a friend. I tried finding it in my copy of Tran's two volume collection on Seth Thomas Clocks, but had no luck. I'd put its date at around 1890 to 1900. It has an early No.44 "Head & Shoulders" movement. The dial and hands look to have been replaced. I can't tell from the photo if the case is adamantine (perhaps on the very top), or if it's a simple black enamel painted case; I'm thinking the later. I'm trying to find out if the date code is stenciled on the bottom. The label is mostly gone, and I can't make out much from the photos sent to me. The movement needs a suspension spring and most likely a complete overhaul. Any help ID'ing the model is most appreciated.

Quick update. I found a link to a restored Adamantine case model called the "Delos" that matches this case pretty closely. The "Delos" model shows up in Tran's book, but the columns in the illustration don't look anywhere close to this photo.
