Can anyone identify the model of this Movado?

    not sure what I have here....any help is appreciated. Don't see the usual number on back...just 27 1790 116

    thanks - saw that but was looking to understand the model number of the Movado ... typically on the case but don't see it....unless its 27.1790.116

    That would be it.
    At least it doesn't have PRC stamped in it.
    So many watches do these days.

    Hi PWR, the 9 digit number was off the top of my head a description of the watch used by Movado between 1971 and 1983. I think the first digits were the case material the second the model/dial, and the third was the movement. I recall seeing this info online many moons ago but can’t remember where.

    ? For Your Reference: The Movado FB 95M (M95) — Rescapement

    SKU NUMBER
    Abbreviation stands for "Stock Keeping Unit"; an identifying number used when taking inventory. Same as the watch "model number".

    TECHNICAL REFERENCE NUMBER
    A number (used in addition to the SKU number) that provides coded information on the watch's attributes: case metal, plating; movement size and type; bracelet style; dial color, material, style, etc. Usually engraved on the case back.

    Uses the same movement as, and also resembles, some of the Zenith 'Mistral' models.
