• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

can any one help to identify this watch?

There are no markings on the movement. The dust cover is marked 0.585 and also has a circle with a stylizes b and another circle with a fancy crown in it (does not look like uk crown) and a serial number 75451. The dust cover is not marked. There is a small mark on the bow but I can not read it with a loop.

Thank you

The crown might be the German assay mark for gold; I can't make out the B in a circle, but it could be a casemaker's mark and if I could see it clearly I might be able to find it on the Mikrolisk site. I would be satisfied that this is 14K gold based on the .585 marking.

The movement is unusual - I have never seen that sinuous S-shaped centre bar, and the swan's neck regulator is a sign of good quality - the adjusting screw is unusually long! Unfortunately I can't help with an identification.

I found this on Mikrolisk - is it anything like yours?

I will have to recheck but I am pretty positive that is it. Thanks Marty! In the fourth picture the mark is upside down on the right. So that would make the case:
BIFORA Uhren GmbH, JosefBidlingmaier Schwäbisch Gmünd, Deutschland

Would the movement then be German or did in Germany the movements mainly come from Switzerland?
