• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

Is there any reference material on figuring or calculating wheel train counts for long running clocks (I'm looking at 1 year, and not a 400 day type clock ;)) using a weight, no springs or fusee. I'm not much of a math whiz, but would like to learn some of this.

And, BTW, how are train counts figured out to where the time, chime, and strike weights all descend evenly, give or take a little (a great mystery to me).

Thanks!.................gary
