Bushings and tools

New clock guy here wanting some advise on bushing assortments and tools needed to put bushings in . I'm mainly working on regula cuckoo clocks also where to buy these.

At a minimum you would need a #2 and #3 KWM reamer and about 3 well spaced bushing sizes for each reamer. This will get you started with nearly all modern cuckoos. All bushings would be 1.4mm height. #10, #12, #65 for the #2 reamer and #14, #17 & #20 for the # 3 reamer.

And, of coarse you will need some way to precisely turn the reamers and finish the pivot holes to size.

When starting out, I followed Willie's advice and found it to be spot-on.

When you have your #2 and #3 reamers, then you'll need to consider techniques to locate the reamed hole. I prefer a selection of small round files and these can be had from Contenti and/or Shor.
