What is the most common bushing kit assortment to have on hand for KVM or Bergeon to use for american clocks?

I've had this one for over 15 years. I've used most of the sizes ... maybe 5 that don't get used much. It may be bigger than you need to get started, but it's handy .... and easy to refill as needed.

Yes something like that it would be easier to refill than wait a week or so for the bushings and hope you ordered the right ones. I purchased a Keystone bushing machine a few years ago that came setup for both KWM and Bergeon. Which is better Brass or Bronze bushings?

Bronze is going to wear slower, but some feel it wears on the pivots more. Also some guys just don't like the color. I like them myself.

Bronze will wear the pivots faster since it’s harder than brass. Use brass and replace the bushing again down the road if necessary.

I do use bronze as well, sometimes. But mostly brass.

I use brass but I understand that contamination could be pressed into to soft brass and act on the pivot surfaces negatively.

Most American clocks use a 1.9 Hight bush. One of my useful sets of kwm bushes start at bore size 1.0, all the way up to 1.9 These have an OD of 2.7.
Bushings for Escape wheels and verges I use a 1.8 OD. if possible. They go down below 1.0 ID.

Ordering bushings can be problematic. and expensive so make sure on the selection of sizes. Get a timesavers catalog and learn how they are listed and numbered..

Timesavers 11604 and 11605 is a good start at $38.00 each. You then order those that you don't have as needed and build up your stock.
Here is 15 years of adding needed bushings.
