A note on terminology, dials are described as “flat”, “single sunk”, the seconds bit recessed, and “double sunk”, is with the seconds bit sunk and the center of the Dial sunk... Not sure how Triple sunk gets reference from...

Perhaps mistakenly from the three levels of a double-sunk dial. People who use the term "triple-sunk" usually fail to understand the creation and function of sinking the second bits and the center.

The term was heavily and mistakenly used by Modesto Horology (a mail order watch dealer in the 1980s and 1990s) to describe double-sunk wind indicator dials. These dials have a sunk center level below the hour chapter and a sunk center & sunk wind indicator level below the center level.

    Hi Bill,
I am going to move your post to Watch Repair, which is where parts requests usually reside.
