    Country Flag:
I was working on an earlier type movement, which I don't haven't done before, and noticed this odd appendage on one of the pawl's retainer plates.I'm guessing that it was intended to be a counter-weight, or maybe some extra weight to increase the momentum of the pawl to ensure the crown wheel advances?[IMG][IMG]
