For many years I wanted a Bulle clock I usually collect master clocks I recently bought Bulle it's running so I haven't done any restoration to it I'm interested to know where the serial number of the clock is and how to date it. The only number I can find so far is 0280 stamped in to the front of the movement .

The serial number is on the movement. You will find that there will be one or two digits hidden behind the brass nut securing the movement.

I have attached a link which gives a rough guide to the date. I'm not sure whether this is the most up-to-date information, but it will give an indication. There is also a great website (google Horologix). This provides a wealth of valuable information.

Looks like a nice example. I agree with Peter, there will be another digit hidden under the retaining nut
