I am new to clock repair and to NAWCC. Just completed first project and am happy to report my clock is working after disassembly, cleaning, oiling and reassembly. For my second project decided to work on the case of a Seth Thomas balloon clock while waiting to pick up a couple of inexpensive non working clocks to practice on. I started with cleaning and polishing the brass. While working on the back cover the center pierced screen portion accidentally popped out of the framework. Pictures are attached to show the current status. Is there a trick to getting this back in place? Am I close to getting it in or do I need to start over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
