John Hubby has posted the general date range based upon the logo on the back plate. For clocks from Freiberg, the logo dates from 1906-1925 while for Braunau clocks, the logo dates from 1913, 1920-1925. It looks like the Freiberg and Braunau logos are virtually identical, so more information will be needed from the back plate.

Mark, will need a photo of the complete back plate to be able to fully identify and date this one. Also a photo of the Gloria gong is needed, there was more than one version. Basically this design and and dial combination would have come from around 1909-1914, but with seeing the photos requested might be able to tie it down closer than that.

Here is an illustration of a very similar clock from a GB 1912 sale catalog, thanks to Victor Tang for publishing.


These were made with a basic case style that was then "embellished" with different pediments, door column designs, pendulums, dials, etc. The dial on your clock is featured in a 1913 movement and parts catalog.

Kurt and all, the logos for the Freiburg and Braunau versions "are" identical. However, all the Braunau versions have a serial number from the Braunau production series and can be relatively easily dated from the number and other stampings, case designs, etc. The Braunau movements also all have solid back plates.
