Baumgartner 866 - Broken Lower Pivot?

Looks like a lower broken pivot. Anyone else worked on one of these Baumgartner 866's? This is the most frustrating movement that I have ever worked on. Finally at assembly and noticed the lower pallet fork pivot appears broken. If that is the case and I'm not sure it is, then it's back in the junk box and I'll get something else out. These are one jewel movements with all mating parts metal-to-metal(pivot holes in plate).

I agree...it is a mess to work on. Although, it seems like a hearty movement with few parts to go bad. Oil the pivots once in a while and move on. I will never disassemble another one of these movements—never. It is way too fidley for me. You need five hands and eight tools to get everything aligned to put on train bridge.

The only good usage would be to use for practising.
Turning a new pallet fork arbor, re-pivoting the existing arbor and/or to wiggle many pivots at once in place...........

To like or not like.. that be the question.

I've got boxes full of them because they never came back to see why I said not worth repair. Something inside me tells me that they knew all along.
