Some Early American banjo clocks utilized a mahogany panel in the throat and in the door, rather than glasses.

What is the thickness of the panels?

    Thanks for any help

Generally speaking the ones I have had have all been less than 1/4" thick. Mahogany veneer over a pine backboard. Sometimes the edges are beveled a bit so gluebrocks/nailing strips will fit.
