I didn't see a thread on this grade, so I thought I would start one.

These Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen watches with this fairly scarce Brake wheel damasking pattern are
great watches. According to Rhett's site
Hamilton Ball Serial Numbers & Grade Descriptions (Original research by Art Zimmerla and Walter Kroenker)

Only 265 of these watches were made. They were early watches and the 1st run was 14126-50 and the last run was 42101-200.

This watch was made from run 28401-50. Hamilton just called them grade 999 and then added A- R to separate the differences.

It is in an Brotherhood case. See this thread on Brotherhood Cases. Ball Brotherhood Cases

This is an Earlier one serial number 14127 with the Brakewheel pattern. This would be the 2nd one made out of the 265 total.

The total production of the 999C with this pattern was 265.

This also has a nice matching BRT case. It has the pierced hands.
