    Pocket Watch, c. 1800, Rivers & Son, London. Brass movement with verge escapement and 1/4 repeater on bell. Key wind and key set. Dust cover is engraved, ”Rivers & Son London No. 10845.” White enamel dial is imprinted, ”Rivers & Son London.” Gold case has open-faced front, pierced sides, and engraved castle scene around stem. Watch is set into pair case. Inner case has open-faced front and repousse back showing Christ’s baptism. Front and back of outer case are open-faced and framed by band of green shagreen.
