• Upcoming updates
Over the next couple of weeks we will be performing software updates on the forum. These will be completed in small steps as we upgrade individual software addons. You might occasionally see a maintenance message that will last a few minutes at most.

If we anticipate an update will take more than a few minutes, we'll put up a notice with estimated time.

    Thank you!

The crown and sickel-moon is the German silver stamp. Others will tell you more about the watch I am sure.

Hi. It's a cheap watch but I live in an art deco house and therefore I want to give it a place in my collection .
I would like the maker of it

As a long time researcher and aficionado of hallmarks, I find this very interesting. I cannot see the marks well but it "kind of" (I am not an expert but love this kind of stuff) looks like a Swiss movement with a case with German IMPORT marks . rather than makers marks. Perhaps one of our German members can set us all straight. Also the "84" seems to indicate a Russian connection of some kind. There is a fellow named "HOLMSTROM, Albert" who was Russian and had a "similar" mark but not identical. I think this is . Swiss watch though with Swiss case with German import marks. Anyone else have any ideas?? Cool Watch!

Jeff/Pierre,

Re the hallmarks....not that long ago, I had a very interesting discussion, on this very subject of hallmarks, with John Matthews and Enrico.
There is a thread to refer to somewhere....I'll see if I can dig it up.

Regards

Piers
