Three train striking and musical clock, all wooden wheels, iron lantern pinions. Wood frame. Musical train has wooden barrel pinned for six tunes, played on nine glass bells. Bells are hung from a two-tiered wood frame, the top tier has a row of three bells and a row of two bells. The bottom tier has two rows of two bells. The bells are struck with wood hammers. Strikes the quarter hours and plays any one of six manually selected tunes through twice on the hour. Verge escapement with a "Kuhschwanzpendel" or "cows-tail pendulum". Brass hands. One piece carved gesso, gold and silver leaf wooden amorial dial. Two lions flank the 6 1/2" dial.
