I was able to acquire this Ansonia swinger clock yesterday.... I have not been able to find much information on the web about the particular model No.1 The clock does run... and I have the original box... It seems that this may be a very early model as all the pictures I have found of this type of clock all say patent and then a date... this one says... patent applied for... with no date... the only other marking I have found is on the back of the clock as shown in the picture... the clock appears to be complete it works and keeps good time... The box label is very cool... and was a great plus!... thanks in advance for any information you might provide...

Tran Duy Ly’s Ansonia clock book has it listed under the bobbing doll clocks section and dated 1894. The picture also says patent applied for.

They evidently used several different dolls in the bobbing and spring jumper clocks. ( photo from Tran Duy Ly’s Ansonia Clock and Watches book published by Arlington Book Co. 1998)

That is true... I have seen many styles of dolls used even on the same clock... again thank you for posting the movement!...
