I have started a restoration on an Ansonia Mantle Clock that I acquired at an estate sale... It has a cast iron case. I have been involved in clock restoration for a few years now, but I think this will be my first full restoration including the mechanism by myself...
Can someone help me identify the clock? Specifically, I removed and cleaned all the "spelter" castings in my ultrasonic cleaner. My clock mentor thinks that I should use Rub and Buff on them now, but I would like to see if someone can find this clock in the catalog and help me get the closest color for the castings. Thank you ahead of time.

The closest I could find in Tran Duy Ly’s 1998 Ansonia clock book published by Arlington Book Co. was the Timbrel no. 2 from about 1886. Yours is missing the bottom center ornament and your dial is way too big.
