Coincidentally another member just posted about the same clock but ones that runs too fast.

    I have several issues

    1. The finish on the case is dirty or tarnished. I am looking for ideas on how to clean it. Currently there are places on the case where paint has been applied and I would not want to remove that when cleaning the case.

    2. The end of the trumpet has been broken off and I would like to try and repair it. Any ideas on what material to use?

    Guy,

I have turned trumpets out of leaded brass. I would consider replacing the entire trumpet rather than trying to repair the existing one.

That is not a bad idea. I will have to look into it.
